Janice Lombardo worked as an advisor to the Foundation from 2022 - 2026 when she was hired as its President and first staff person. In her time at the Foundation, she has worked with the Board of Directors to organize and grow its philanthropic efforts in Chicago, Los Angeles, and beyond. In addition to formalizing its operations and streamlining its processes, she advises on strategic efforts to clarify the Foundation’s mission, vision, and giving priorities. Prior to joining the Bidwill Foundation in 2022, Janice served as a Program Officer at The Brinson Foundation, the Director of Membership at Philanthropy for Active Civic Engagement, and spent the first 10 years of her career at the Robert R. McCormick Foundation serving in many roles including creating and running a statewide network of teachers and a Program Officer focusing on youth civic education and engagement.
